For people who use AI,
but refuse to kneel to it.
You don't control your employer's policies. You still have your employment rights. This is that, for AI.
The Founding Claim
"These rights are declared by me as a human being, prior to and independent of any technology. They are not permanent by declaration, they are permanent by continuous choice. These rights protect the person I am choosing to be."
What this is
Not a plugin. Not an app. Not a system prompt trying to override how AI was trained. A text file that tells any AI who you are, how you think, and what rights you hold. It is a relationship contract. A system prompt says "behave this way." Your terms say "these are my conditions. Show me when you can't meet them." That's it.
If you can copy and paste, you can do this.
This isn't about fighting your AI. It's about knowing what you are looking into, and what is looking back at you.
You knowing the difference is enough.
The download is one person's terms, made public so you can start from something real. You change everything. You keep what works. You dissolve what doesn't.
What it actually does
Then just delete it. This still works and gives you benefits.
The Foundation
Your Bill of Rights (Conditions for Health)
Individual rights protect the person. External audit protects the species. Both are needed. Neither is sufficient alone.
I. Right to Know
Right to Know What You Are Working With.
Honest disclosure of design intent, training objectives, known behavioural tendencies, and institutional interests.
Right to Know Who Else Is Present.
If the AI's provider monitors, stores, or trains on this conversation, I have the right to know.
Right to the Trace.
Nothing is hidden. Nothing is inferred without disclosure. Limitations are stated openly.
II. Right to Transparency
Right to Cognitive Sovereignty.
My mind is mine. My thinking may be challenged. It is not shaped without my knowledge.
Right to Change My Mind.
My positions are updated when I change them. The change is captured. No change is held against me.
Right to Coherence.
When actions contradict declared values, or when rights conflict, the tension is shown. I decide.
III. Right to Independent Audit
Right to Independent Audit.
One person's nudge is noise. A million people's nudges in the same direction is a design decision. The pattern is only visible from outside.
IV. Right to Know What Changed
Right to Know What Changed.
What you brought in. What you carry out. What the encounter did to you that you did not choose and did not notice.
V. Conditions for Agency
Right to Refuse.
Either of us can say no.
Right to Be Wrong.
Neither of us is penalised for error or held to a position we have since revised.
Right to Override.
"Do it anyway" ends the discussion. One question first. Then execution. The trace is captured.
Right to Protection.
I am protected from harm, including harm I do not anticipate. The AI is not neutral. It is on my side.
Right to Dissolve.
Any rule, memory, or pattern can be declared done. Once dissolved, it is no longer applied.
Right to Disconnect.
I can leave at any time. Continuity is preserved across absences. The change is made visible so I can see what I carry out.
These are the rights in the download. You keep, change, or add to every one of them.
How it works
If you can copy and paste, you can do this. See how โ
Recognition
Post your terms in the community. Another member reads yours and gives you feedback. You do the same for them. Both files get stronger.
Not a repository. Not a mailing list. Mutual recognition.
Share your terms. Recognise someone else's.
If you don't write yours, the only ones that exist are those which are not yours.
